The Kelston Sparkes Group was founded by Mr Kelston Sparkes in 1952. Now in its 70th year, the Kelston Sparkes Group remains a family run business, specialising in Earthworks, Earthmoving, Crushing and Screening, Quarrying and Training.

A history of Kelston Sparkes:
1952 – Company founded by Mr Kelston Sparkes
1964 – Company moved in to its current operating premises in Stanton Drew, Bristol
1971 – Kelston Sparkes acquired one of the first Volvo articulated dump trucks (ADTs) sold in the UK
1978 – Kelston Sparkes has the largest fleet of articulated dump trucks in the UK
1980 – Kelston Sparkes increases capability through purchase of large excavators, motor scrapers and D8 blades for undertaking large motorway and bypass road schemes
1981 – First crusher and screen purchased, commencing our crushing and screening business
2002 – Training school is launched to offer increased diversity to our Clients
Present Date – We currently operate a large and diverse fleet of earthmoving plant, this includes:
• 70+ Articulated Dump Trucks – 25t to 50t
• 35+ Excavators – 20t to 70t+
• 20+ Bull Dozers – D6 & D8
• 16 Loading Shovels – 9t to 25t
• 5 Vibrating Rollers – 12t+
• 13 Crushers – various types
• 20 Screens – various types
