Finning News wrote the following article about us last week.
This is the first of the new generation Zaxis machines purchased by Kelston Sparkes Group, together with a ZW310 3 metre capacity Loading Shovel.
On the 13th and 14th July, our colleague Terry O'Callaghan from Kelston Sparkes Group completed the 220 miles cycle challenge “Ian Meek - Let’s Cure Brain Tumours Bristol - Leeds Cycle Challenge”. Ian was a brain tumour patient and great supporter of BTRS.
Working on behalf of the Environment Agency, team Van Oord & earthworks contractor Kelston Sparkes are working on a project to provide flood defence and a new wildlife habitat on the Steart Peninsular in North Somerset.
On the 13th and 14th July, Terry O'Callaghan from Kelston Sparkes Group will be cycling 220 miles from Bristol to Leeds in memory of Ian Meek and supporting The Brain Tumour Research charity. Their aim is to raise funds to support specific and dedicated research projects into the treatment and cure of child and adult brain tumours. Terry O has good reason to take part as his own son Oliver, pictured, had a brain operation in 2010 spending 3 weeks in hospital and 12 months recovering. We are pleased to say he is now truly recovered!
If you'd like to join Terry and his team for this challenging event you still have time! The closing date for registrations is 31st May 2013. If you don’t feel up to the challenge but would like to show your support, you can visit the just giving page at http://www.justgiving.com/OliversArmy2013 to donate to a great cause.
